Pass Plus
Pass Plus consists of six specially designed driver training sessions that you can take after you have passed your practical driving test. The modules include:
- introduction and town driving
- all weather driving
- rural driving
- night driving
- dual carriageway driving
- motorway driving.
Completion of Pass Plus will improve your skills in areas where you may have little experience and reduce your risk of being involved in a road accident.
You can take Pass Plus at any time in your driving career, but the scheme is mainly aimed at novice drivers within a year of passing their test.
THERE IS NO TEST TO TAKE! When I am satisfied with your performance you will receive a certificate from the Driving Standards Agency.
Pass Plus is backed by car insurance companies and most motor insurances supporting the scheme will give you one-year's no claims bonus for comprehensive, third party fire and theft and third-party policies as soon as you insure your own car*. You may be able to defer the no-claims bonus for up to two years of completing a Pass Plus course, and have not had any claims in the meantime, your first premium will be reduced by the extra one year's no claim bonus.
